About the destination:

Montargil is a tranquil village in central Portugal, best known for the Montargil Dam and reservoir, which offer excellent conditions for water sports and lakeside relaxation. Surrounded by rolling hills and cork oak forests, it’s a popular getaway for nature lovers. The area combines rural charm with opportunities for boating, fishing, and peaceful retreats.

It was early today to get there before it got too hot.

A beautiful sunrise and a quick breakfast at 06:45 and then we set off.

Todays ride was a good one for. Hanne Flaat and I rode together the whole day. Her Wahoo cycling computer which gave information about the climb in altitude meters and length. It helped me keep the right speed up the hills.

This worked very well for me. Here is a comparison on how I looked when I finished on the day before and today (thanks Rune for the nice photo)

Many long stretches to day and almost no cars
