Évora is a historic city in southern Portugal, renowned for its well-preserved Roman temple, medieval walls, and whitewashed houses. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a rich blend of Roman, Moorish, and Portuguese architecture. The city’s charming streets, ancient cathedral, and the eerie Chapel of Bones make it a cultural gem in the Alentejo region.

Sunrise in Montargil

Yet another day with high temperatures, I left 10 to 7 this morning together with Hanne.

During the ride we “joined forces” with Gary and Steve to keep the pace. We stopped for few minutes to enjoy a glass of coke.

A quick cafe stop after 70 km

Due the heat we only stopped for more refill our water bottles. I think I drank more than 3,5 liters of water today .

This was probably the best day for me, I felt good good the whole ride, here are some stats

At the very end, the four of us had some real troubles navigating. There was some confusion around the cycle paths.

The battery on my navigation went empty and that wasn’t really helping the situation.

On our way to eat dinner in the old town of Enova
