About the destination:

Beja is a historic city in Portugal’s Alentejo region, known for its hilltop medieval castle, whitewashed houses, and Roman roots. It offers a peaceful atmosphere with rich heritage, including the striking Beja Regional Museum housed in a former convent. Surrounded by olive groves and plains, Beja is a gateway to traditional Alentejo culture and cuisine.

Early start again. Many of us chose to take care breakfast packet this morning to get off as early as possible.

Steve and the van

The last couple of days I’ve been feeling quite well. On the ride this morning. I felt even better.

Rune, Hanne and myself started off together at 6:30.

When we catches up with Rune V and Jon, he decided to join them for the rest of the ride

Today we also had executives from the Zurich group in Portugal join us for the ride.

Today was a ride a long, long stretches. I can see miles away somewhat boring but amazingly fast can I ask you that I did we decided to push on today to get the destination before high temperatures. I think it took us 3 1/2 hours to cycle 81 km

We are probably all looking back and wishing for another missed morning like we had on day day 4 from Pombal

Here is version of that misty morning

I think I deserve this after today’s ride
