Alcoutim is a quiet riverside village in southeastern Portugal, nestled along the Guadiana River near the Spanish border. Known for its relaxed pace, whitewashed houses, and scenic views, it offers a blend of nature and history, including a small castle and riverside beach. It’s a peaceful retreat ideal for hiking, kayaking, and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
Once again, we are up early to beat the heat. This ride was planned to be 100 km, but we had reduced it with 9 km to get faster to our destination for the day.

 get to see the sunrise
It was actually only 20° . Cool in the comparison with the previous days. The iceman, Steve and Lori, Hanne and I set off in good pace.
After 70 km a road block was set up and and we had to find another way to our destination long story short than 120 km instead of 90 this Wednesday. There were a lot of health and alternative and the temperature kept going up and finally reached her hotel. It was 38° again.
